The engine was an inline 4-cylinder equipped with a DOHC 16-valve head. It had a displacement of 2410cc and produced 240 horsepower. It adopted a common front-engine, rear-wheel-drive system. The body was fitted with a front air dam skirt, a rear spoiler, and fins on the bonnet, and obtained homologation as a Group 4 specification. It began participating in the WRC from 1980. That year, they achieved their first victory at the Swedish Rally. In 1982, the 1980 champion, Walter Röhrl, joined the team. The cockpit is modeled three-dimensionally with separate parts for the rally equipment meters on the dashboard and the footrest on the floor. The suspension and other mechanisms on the underside of the chassis are also reproduced in detail, conveying the spartan driving style of a rally car. The markings reproduce the car number 2, Walter Röhrl's machine, which achieved a magnificent victory at the Monte Carlo Rally, the opening round of the 1982 WRC, held from January 16 to 22, 1982.
