■Product Description
●Includes masking stickers for painting the canopy frame to give it a sharper finish
This is a 1/144 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's F-2 fighter jet. This set includes masking stickers for painting the canopy frame.
About the actual aircraft
The F-2 fighter jet has been in operation since 2000 and is the main fighter jet of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Development began in 1988 as the successor to the F-1. Based on the American F-16, development work was carried out jointly by Japan and the United States, taking into consideration the operation as a Self-Defense Force aircraft and Japan's geographical factors. It is capable of carrying and operating long-range air-to-ship missiles (ASM), as well as air-to-air radar missiles. It was first deployed to the 3rd Squadron at Misawa Air Base, and has also been deployed to the 6th and 8th Squadrons at Tsuiki Air Base. It is demonstrating its capabilities in air defense missions for Japan's airspace. The 3rd Air Wing, belonging to the Northern Air Defense Force under the Air Defense Command, was formed at Matsushima Air Base on December 1, 1957, and later moved to Gifu Air Base and Komaki Air Base before relocating to its current location at Misawa Air Base in 1978. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force's 3rd Air Wing celebrated its 50th anniversary in September 2007 with a commemorative ceremony. To mark the occasion, the F-2A and other aircraft of the 3rd Squadron, which belong to the 3rd Air Wing, were given a special paint scheme featuring an original design incorporating the Roman numeral VX (50).

About the Model
This is a 1/144 scale assembly kit that reproduces the F-2A, a fighter jet of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force that entered service in 2000. The parts are easy to assemble and made by F-toys, and the set includes parts for one aircraft. In addition, this set includes masking stickers that are convenient for painting the canopy frame and wheels. A precise paint job will give the finished product a sharp look. The aircraft's blended wing shape is accurately reproduced. With a finished length of approximately 100mm, it replicates a current fighter jet of the Japan Self-Defense Forces. This kit also includes a resin part that accurately reproduces the shape of the center tank mounted on the underside of the fuselage. Furthermore, the markings reproduce the commemorative paint scheme of the VX(50) aircraft unveiled at the ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 3rd Air Wing in 2007. The markings applied to the center tank are also included. In addition, markings for the standard paint scheme are also included, so you can choose to finish it in either style.
