About the actual aircraft
The main fighter aircraft, the F-15J Eagle, is based on the US Air Force's F-15C, which began operational deployment in 1974, and has been equipped with unique equipment by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. It began deployment to units in 1982 and still plays a main role in the air defense of Japan's skies.
