This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the F-15J Eagle aircraft of the 306th Squadron with commemorative paintwork that appeared at the Komatsu Air Base Air Show on October 5, 2025.
About the actual aircraft
The main fighter aircraft, the F-15J Eagle, is based on the US Air Force's F-15C, which began combat deployment in 1974, and has been equipped with unique equipment by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. It is equipped with its own tactical electronic warfare system, J/TEWS, and also its own data link system. It began deployment to units in 1982 and still plays a main role in the air defense of Japan's skies.
