About the actual car
The Peugeot 905 was a machine developed by Peugeot in accordance with the regulations of Group C cars that started in 1991 and required the use of the same 3.5-liter naturally aspirated engine as the engine used in F1 at the time. The engine was an 80-degree V10 with a displacement of 3499cc.It adopted a carbon fiber chassis and double wishburn suspension at the front and rear.It had no doors, and the body design allowed the driver to enter and exit by flipping up the side windows. Starting its racing career at the end of 1990, Peugeot began competing in the Sportscar Championship full-time from 1991, winning the opening race. From the latter half of the season, it introduced an evolution model with improvements to the body design and other features, and continued to perform well.
About the Model
This model recreates the Peugeot 905, Peugeot's Group C sports car racing machine that debuted in 1990 and began full-time competition from 1991. It is a 1/43 scale model with 24 parts, a finished length of 111mm and a width of 46mm. It is a convenient size and easy to assemble, making it a kit that you can easily enjoy. The body reproduces the early type that appeared in 1990 and was used until the first half of the 1991 season. The body style, which conforms to the Group C regulations from 1991 and was called an F1 with a roof, is reproduced as a single part. The air intake and rear tire spats are separate parts. The chassis floor is also a single part, and the diffuser shape on the underside is accurately modeled. The cockpit also expresses the atmosphere well, with the seat and steering wheel being fully represented. With a transparent cockpit and separate rear wing parts, this model recreates the design of a Group C car from that era in a palm-sized form.
The markings include car number 5, which competed in the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans. This car model kit is easy to assemble and recommended for beginner modelers.
