About the actual vehicle
The North African campaign in the early stages of World War II is full of stories, with many battles taking place between the German Africa Corps led by Rommel and the British 8th Army led by Montgomery. Among these battles, Operation Ochsenkopf took place from February 26 to March 4, 1943. It was one of the last battles between the German and Allied forces in the fierce fighting, and is said to be the last organized battle of the German army in North Africa. The battle, centered around the 501st Heavy Tank Battalion, which was among the first to be deployed with Tiger I tanks, unfolded around Sidi N'Sir in Tunisia. The British countered the powerful Tiger I with 25-pounder guns and Churchill tanks. The German army lost many combat vehicles, including Tiger I tanks, and was forced to retreat.

About the Model
This model is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces a Tiger I belonging to the 501st Heavy Tank Battalion in the North African campaign.
The model was created based on the latest research and investigations of David Byrden, known as an expert in Tiger I research. In particular, it reproduces the Tiger I that fought in Operation Oxenkopf in the final years of the North African campaign.
It's worth noting how each of the distinctive features is faithfully reproduced, such as the additional ammunition boxes from the Panzer III's turret storage box attached to both sides of the storage box at the rear of the turret, the spare tracks attached to various parts of the hull, and the toolbox added to the right rear mudguard.
Furthermore, this set uses assembly-type Magic Tracks for the tracks. An aluminum machined part is also included for the gun barrel. A wide variety of markings are included, as well as copper wire that easily conforms to the shape. This luxurious kit, which brings the distinctive Tiger I to a more realistic finish, is a must-have for fans.
