About the actual car
Porsche has been active in the sports car racing category for many years and has recorded numerous victories. In particular, it is known as one of the major manufacturers in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France, which is known as the world's toughest automobile race.Porsche, which boasts the most overall victories in its history, developed the 911 (Type 996) RSR as a machine for the LM-GTE category for the 2017-2019 season. In 2018, the 70th anniversary of Porsche's founding, Porsche entered four 911 RSRs in the GTE-Pro class of the 86th 24 Hours of Le Mans. One of them, car number 92, featured graphics that revived the "Pink Pig" livery worn by the legendary Porsche 917/20 at the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans. Not only did it attract the attention of racing fans, but it also achieved a magnificent class victory.
About the Model
This model is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Porsche 911 RSR that achieved a class victory at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The scale is 1/24, with a finished length of approximately 195mm and a width of approximately 80mm, realistically reproducing the powerful body style. The markings painted on the surface are reproduced with a large decal sheet. This kit recreates the pink-based pig markings used on the 1971 Porsche 917/20. The interior, including the roll cage, is also meticulously modeled. You can enjoy the spartan details unique to an endurance race specification. Furthermore, the underside of the chassis is finished with separate parts for the suspension and other components, giving it a highly three-dimensional look.
