■Product Description
This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Opel Manta 400 Gr.B, which was active in rallies from 1983 to 1986.
Manufactured by Belkits of Belgium, which actively develops new and old rally cars. In addition to basic plastic parts, it also includes photo-etched detail-up parts, seat belt material, and masking sheets that are convenient for painting the window frames. The body reproduces the wide overfenders, rear spoiler, air scoop and slits on the bonnet, which are characteristic of Group B machines, as one piece. The cockpit is modeled with separate parts for rally equipment such as gauges on the dashboard, footrest on the floor, and tools such as a fire extinguisher and wrench. Furthermore, you can choose to assemble either a right-hand drive or left-hand drive version.
The markings reproduce the machine of car number 1, Jimmy McRae, which came in 4th place in the Ypres 24-Hour Rally, a rally held in Belgium from June 29 to July 1, 1984, as part of the 1984 European Rally Championship series.
