In September 2008, the 8th Squadron of the 3rd Air Wing (Misawa Air Base) of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force applied a special paint scheme to a Phantom to commemorate the last operation of the F-4EJ Kai by the squadron.
This decal sheet reproduces the Black Panther, which boasts one of the highest levels of perfection among the JASDF Phantom special paint schemes. The yellow stripe on the fuselage, the shark mouth, and the detailed caution markings are accurately reproduced.
