Kit MB32024 is a continuation of the series themed on the Napoleonic Wars, and is a parts set for assembling two Old Guard soldiers of Napoleon's army. The Old Guard was the most famous unit of the time and is particularly popular among modelers and collectors. These figures are made with extremely high artistic merit, and are truly miniature sculptures. Modelers can create an impressive vignette (small scene) with just the two figures included in this kit, or they can combine them with other figures in the series?especially 32025 "Old Guard Officer during the Napoleonic Wars"?to construct a large-scale battle scene. ---From the manufacturer's comments.

They defended the retreat route at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. In Britain, the Household Guards are permitted to wear bearskin caps as a way of honoring their victory over this formidable force. A uniform with deep meaning.
