■The Short SC.7 “Skyvan” is a purely practical, twin-engine STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) turboprop aircraft from the British company Short, which appeared in the 1960s. It is known by the nickname “Flying Shoebox” due to its box-shaped fuselage and large rear cargo door.
It was used for a long time for cargo transport, paratrooper drops, surveying, and skydiving, and is an important aircraft that later evolved into the Short 330/360. It is a 19-seat class twin-engine turboprop, and 149 aircraft of the entire series were produced by 1986.
