■Product Description
In 1933, when Hitler and the Nazi Party seized power in Germany, a large-scale rearmament plan began. One of the first military trucks manufactured under this plan was the Kfz.70 six-wheel drive light truck manufactured by Krupp, known as the L2 H43, and known to soldiers as the "Krupp Protze". Initially designed as an artillery tractor and general-purpose truck, various derivatives later appeared, including telephone vehicles, command vehicles, communications vehicles, and ammunition carriers.

The Kfz.70 entered service in 1934, equipped with a 53-horsepower Krupp boxer engine, with a top speed of 70 km/h and a range of 450 km. The vehicle weighed 3 tons and could carry a maximum load of 1,150 kg. Later, the L2 H143 model was manufactured, equipped with a more powerful 60-horsepower engine, but there was no significant change in performance. The Kfz.70 was first used in the 1939 invasion of Poland (the start of World War II), followed by the French campaign in 1940 and the invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941. A small number were also used in the North African campaign from 1941 to 1943. Due to its extremely poor fuel efficiency and high manufacturing costs, only about 7,000 units were produced between 1934 and 1941. This general-purpose truck could transport a driver, an assistant, and up to 10 soldiers. It was also used to tow light anti-tank guns, light anti-aircraft guns, ammunition trailers, and small generators, in which case the crew was limited to 5. Although the Kfz.70 was a versatile vehicle, specialized versions with modified chassis structures for specific missions were also produced, such as the Kfz.21 command vehicle, Kfz.69 artillery tractor, and Kfz.81 2cm anti-aircraft gun tractor. Production ended in early 1941, but the Kfz.70 continued to be used throughout World War II.
