■Product Description
The Flycatcher, adopted in 1923, was a groundbreaking aircraft for its time. Because it needed to shorten the takeoff and landing distance for carrier operations, large flaps were fitted to the upper and lower wings. The wheels could be converted to floats, and the outer wings could be easily removed for compact storage. It also had good maneuverability, and later models with Jaguar IV engines could reach 213 km/h. It was well-received by the crew and was operated by the Naval Air Force until 1934.
