The 7th generation T140 Corona, which was the last rear-wheel-drive model, appeared in January 1982. With its angular "Advance Wedge" design and sharing many mechanisms with the Celica and Carina of the same generation, it changed the image of the conventionally tame Corona.
In October of the same year, a car equipped with the 3T-GTEU engine, Japan's first twin-cam turbo, boasting the most powerful 160 horsepower among 5-number cars at the time, appeared. In the minor change the following year, the 1600cc 4A-G type, which was first installed in the AE86 series Levin/Trueno, was added, emphasizing the sporty image. The traditional 2-door hardtop of the Corona ended with this 7th generation, and from there it evolved into the Corona Coupe and Corona EXiV.
TLV-NEO has been offering the T140 Corona Hardtop since 2011, but now a new version is finally being released. This time, it's the later model that underwent a minor change in 1983, with design changes to the grille and taillights, reproducing the sporty and luxurious top-of-the-line GT-TR model. The body color is a reproduction of the deep wine/gray two-tone. Be sure to add the 7th generation Corona GT-TR, a car that ignited the power race that raged throughout the 1980s, to your collection.
