■Product Description
Series STUDY1942
From "Little Armory," the 1/12 scale modern firearms plastic model series familiar for its packaging featuring girls in school uniforms and guns, comes the "STUDY1942" series, which reproduces a variety of firearms developed up to the end of World War II that formed the foundation of modern firearms.
The Kar98k is a bolt-action rifle that was officially adopted by Germany in 1935. Kar stands for carabiner (carbine), and k stands for Kurz (short), and it was developed as a shortened version of its predecessor, the Gew98. The bolt-action mechanism of the Gew98 is called the "Mauser action," and it has influenced the design of almost all bolt-action rifles in later generations. Equipped with such an action, the Kar98k, with its ease of handling due to its shortened size and German industrial technology, became a highly regarded bolt-action rifle that ran throughout WW2.
This product is a 1/12 scale model that precisely reproduces such a Kar98k. You can choose from three bolt positions: bolt cocked, uncocked, and open, and you can also choose a longer style with a bayonet attached. The molding is done in two colors for color separation. A rail mount is included as a bonus!
