The gun's features are reproduced as accurately as possible. The detachable suppressor, the bipod with selectable open/closed positions, and the distinctive perforated handguard are all reproduced using slide molding. The folding stock is also movable, and bolt action operation is possible.
About the XM2010 Type
The XM2010 is a new bolt-action sniper rifle adopted by the US Army as the successor to the M24SWS. The ammunition used has been increased in size from the previous model's 7.62mm NATO rounds to .300 Winchester Magnum rounds, extending the range to 1200m. It is equipped with a 5-round box magazine. The polymer stock has been replaced with a metal chassis system, allowing for adjustment of the stock position to suit the shooter and attachment/detachment of accessories. Furthermore, portability has been improved by the folding stock, and a detachable suppressor is now standard equipment. The U.S. Army has standardized its sniper rifles by using both the M110, a semi-automatic sniper rifle prioritizing rapid fire, and the XM2010 (M24ESR), which prioritizes accuracy and range.
