■Product Description
The "Nano-Dread" series utilizes cutting-edge industrial plastic molding technology to create micro-sculpted, precision parts for models. The term "mantlet" originates from a simple shield, and in the Japanese Navy, it refers to the shields attached to the bridges of battleships and aircraft carriers, and around the turrets of cruisers, to protect against shrapnel from enemy shells.
These were cylindrical cloth shields that contained sailors' bedding and hammocks. From mid-1942 onwards, they were all removed as a fire prevention measure in case of attack.
Completely new mold. Uses white molded parts.
