The Japan Air Self-Defense Force's 201st Squadron was reorganized as an F-15 squadron on October 1, 1986, and celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, 2026. To commemorate this, the squadron's aircraft, No. 901, was given a special paint scheme featuring a bold design incorporating the squadron's mark, a "brown bear," and a "bald eagle," which can also be seen in Hokkaido.
