About the Type 1 Medium Tank
The Type 1 Medium Tank [Chi-He] was developed as the main battle tank of the Imperial Japanese Army, following the Type 97 Medium Tank [Chi-Ha].
The development was based on the Type 97 Medium Tank, but the hull assembly structure was changed from a rivet-centered structure to one that used a lot of welding, and the armor thickness was increased from a maximum of 25 mm to 50 mm.
The engine was also strengthened from the previous 170 horsepower to 240 horsepower, and it was equipped with the Type 1 47 mm tank gun.
Kit Features
★Re-release of the Type 1 Medium Tank.
★Includes the popular assembly-type tracks (belt-type tracks are not included).
★The tracks are made of plastic and are glue-assembly type that can realistically reproduce sag.
★The main gun also reproduces the breech.
