About the Messerschmitt Bf109E-7 Japanese Army
In June 1941, the Japanese Army imported three Bf109E-7s from its ally Germany for research purposes. These Bf109s conducted simulated dogfights with Japanese Army fighters such as the Ki-44 Shoki, providing Japan with a significant clue to understanding "what a heavy fighter was like."
It is also said to have served as a reference for the design of water-cooled engines and aircraft designs that considered mass production.
This product reproduces the first and second imported aircraft. New decals have been added to the Tamiya Bf109E-7, and diorama parts such as a Japanese Army pilot figure, maintenance crew, oil drums, and a Type 89 fixed machine gun are also included.
Seat belts for German aircraft from the Nano Aviation series are also included.
