About the actual Type 4 Medium Tank Prototype
With the start of World War II, the way tanks were used in Germany's blitzkrieg and war against the Soviet Union changed drastically from the previous direct infantry support. This information also influenced the Army's tank development, and the tank that began development as the "New Medium Tank (Type A)" in the 1942 plan was the later Type 4 Medium Tank [Chi-To]. The first prototype, initially equipped with a 57mm gun, was completed in May 1944, but due to the intensification of the war and the desire to further enhance its offensive power, it was ordered to be fitted with a 75mm gun, and the modification was finally completed in February 1945. By the end of the war, two prototype vehicles had undergone testing.

★Reproduction of the prototype vehicle with a cast turret, for which photographs still exist.
★Assembly type tracks are included (belt type tracks are not included).
★The tracks are made of plastic and are glue-assembled to realistically reproduce the sag.
★The main gun also has a reproduced breech.
★The exhaust pipe cover is made of photo-etched material with high fidelity.
★The trunnions are reproduced with photo-etched parts.
★Finished product length 230mm, width 82mm, height 85mm
★Approximately 290 parts
