■Product Description
The LARC (Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo) is an amphibious vehicle developed in the United States.
It is propelled by a screw propeller on water and tires on land, and has higher water navigation capabilities and payload capacity than conventional amphibious vehicles. It was mainly used for transporting personnel and supplies from offshore landing ships to the coast and for communication.
The LARC is divided into three types according to its payload capacity. The LARC-V is the smallest 5-ton type, whose development began in 1956, and was adopted in 1959, with production and introduction starting in 1963.
This vehicle was also supplied to or sold to allied countries, and vehicles that were used by the military and then sold off to civilians are still used today for tourism and other purposes.
The kit includes photo-etched parts and decals.
